"About Patty Peeples and Two Acre Wood"
Howdy Birders!
Last week I received many E-mail's telling me how much you all enjoyed the Florida Everglades edition!
I had several requests for information about me, so here a few details about my life thus far.
Included in this edition is how my life's path brought me to Nashville, my art work and how Two Acre Wood was born.

You know I love to take photos of the Critters, but you may not know I am also an artist. I love to paint in oils, and I also cartoon. I think I was born with a pencil in my hand. I enjoy art in many forms. Below are two examples of my oil painting. (For the bird lovers)

I painted "Swan Lake" for a series called "Art of the Arts". (Look carefully in the water below the Swan.)

This photo was taken by my husband JW, we were going to a gallery show of some of my art work last year.

The mad hatter and a crazy redhead! We are perfect for each other.
Married 10 years.

Jay shot this just before we left for the show.

It was a little windy outside.

It was a very memorable evening. 2/26/2006

Gee, a year ago!
How time fly's!

Some shots from Florida that you didn't get to see.

Melody, my daughter, is on the beach with me. She is a wonderful photographer in her own right.
(Jay shot this one.)

The next three photos were taken by my daughter, Melody.
It was a wonderful time together.
Melody lives in VA. with her husband Rick Owens and my granddaughter Caitlin.

I really love this one.

Photo was taken by Jay. This was a bit of the Everglade scenery.
Rick, Melody's husband, captured some cool shots too!
A family that plays together stays together. :)

I had to show you this one.....It gave me a good laugh!

Two Acre Wood started ....with me E-mailing photos to my friends of our new home and surroundings. The first time the deer and fawns strolled through the yard, I was hooked! I have always enjoyed nature, but I had to travel to get in the midst of it. One thing that was constant though, was the birds. (yay!) I know we are very fortunate that we live smack dab in the middle of it! I just want to share that with you. I have lived in the city and I know how it feels to miss it.

After the Everglades trip the family parted, and Melody and Rick went back to Virginia. She sent me some photos that she took of a civil war reenactment this past weekend. And she even participated in it, with period clothing and all! They are very cool shots!
