Love E Dove E and the Hog

Well, Have a Happy Valentines Day! xoxoxo

Sometimes we feel that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Take our Little Dove for instance; she is enamored with the Groundhog.
The Dove thinks that he is so handsome and strong.....

But right now the only thing that he is interested in is filling his tummy!

(The way to a mans heart is through his stomach) :)

"Oh My!"

"I think he is so cute
and so very hairy!"
But, the poor little Dove didn't understand that he just wasn't suited for her. He couldn't fly, he kept different hours, and worse yet he didn't even notice her!
Groundhog video

He is eating the head of a sunflower.
And in the video he is really working on it!
"What was that?

I think I heard something."

"Oh it's just a silly little bird.

I don't know what kind, but it has that wierd looking fur.

It must be very uncomfortable and stickery"

"Gee it's funny looking"

"Sniff, sniff....The Groundhog thinks I'm funny looking."
~

"I think you are
absolutly beautiful!"

~

"You do?....
Gee....
your kind of cute!"
(Mouse over)
"Will you be...

my Valentine?"
New things can be exciting.
However, there is something to be said about familiarity.

"Hey!

Don't forget to get your sweetie something for Valentines Day!

Or you'll be sorry!

When you have something in common with your sweetheart and you enjoy their company the bond can grow even bigger. Make some new memories!
I am sending you a big kiss and a hug.
Your friend in nature,

P.S. The Groundhog told me that there would be five more weeks of winter! :)
The History of Valentines Day
One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men -- his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be jailed.
According to the legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl -- who may have been his jailor's daughter -- who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France.
